Running into problems with Local Cloud? Here are a few tips to help you.
Step 1: Check Your Network Connection
Please be sure you have a network connection on both your device and your computer. They must be connected to the same local network, via WiFi or Ethernet. On your device, make sure WiFi is enabled.
Step 2: Make Sure on Your Computer Is Running Local Cloud Server
The computer to which you want to connect must be turned on and with Local Cloud server for Mac and for Windows running.
Step 3: Make Sure You Entered the Correct IP Address of the Computer on Your Device
To find out how to locate the IP address, follow the FAQs in the Troubleshooting section.
Step 4: Check on Your Computer There Is Not a Firewall Which Interferes with Local Cloud
In particular, on a Windows PC try to temporarily disable the Windows Firewall (guide). If it works, it means that you have to add an exception for Local Cloud (guide).
